Over the years, conferences & seminars offer the opportunity to improve knowledge. These privileged moments where Science and Art come together, intertwine like a network of lead and thus allow us to deepen our knowledge in restoration/preservation and the creation of stained glass. Each project is a delicate balance between creativity and loyalty to the original, guaranteeing the works' integrity and authenticity. When the works are new, technical attributes become essential for art to emerge.
Our conservation service specializes in the preservation of stained glass, windows and doors, adhering to the highest conservation standards established by organizations such as Corpus Vitrearum, ICOMOS, SGAA and APT. The use of time-tested materials from the past, such as linseed oil paint, traditional putty, grisaille, etc., take the spotlight in all our fabrications.
Every project is undertaken with rigor, posing fundamental questions regarding the level of restoration necessary and evaluating the original components. By engaging in continuous training and actively participating in specialized conferences and workshops, an in-depth expertise is provided to guarantee that the work preserves its rich cultural heritage.
The richness and versatility of glass are showcased when creating stained glass windows. These new works originate with concepts inspired by artistic movements, such as Art Nouveau, Art Deco or stained glass window designs featuring purely geometric patterns, for instance. Occasionally, these stained glass windows only reflect the spirit of its creator and then become “modern”. In every instance, this work includes essential steps such as sketching, choice of colors and textures to ensure a seamless fabrication. Collaboration with sponsors is at the heart of the creative process, enabling us to design pieces that integrate both functionality and aesthetics. Stained glass, with its ability to transform space, creates warm and dynamic environments, revealing varied emotions through light and colors. Each stained glass window thus becomes an incomparable means of expression, celebrating the harmony between the material and the immaterial.
